Born in Tennessee, and raised an army brat, Chantae made her way from a small high school in Rolla, Missouri to college at the University of Nebraska where she became a heptathlete. She left Nebraska as the best heptathlete in school history with two school records, a degree in Education, as well as many other achievements and accolades both on and off the track.

In 2012 Chantae made the Olympic team with just four months of training and rehabbing after she almost fully ruptured her patellar-tendon. This proved that Chantae’s dedication and passion would not let her be defeated by injury. Now, with even higher expectations and a new take-off leg, Chantae is working towards making the 2015 USA World Team in the heptathlon which takes place in Beijing, China, and then The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
